How do I book my free 6-week check-up?

During the early weeks of riding a new bike it’ll go through a 'running in' period. It’s basically when all the new components settle into your riding style and might need a little adjustment. So when you buy a new bike from us, and you’ve been riding it for a while, we’ll give it a free health-check and make sure that everything’s running smoothly.

Booking your free check-up

• Find your local store here
• Give them a call to book the bike in for its service
• Bring along your receipt when you drop the bike off

If you don't live near a store

If you can’t get your bike into one of our stores, take a look at our ‘How To’ video series. They cover a whole range of maintenance topics, from the basics of looking after your bike to some of the more technical aspects.

I am past the 6 weeks; can I still book into a free check-up?

6 weeks of use on a bike is a ‘bedding in’ period. This is to allow for things to settle and ensure that the bike functions correctly. If the bike has been used for a longer period, the checks carried out on the bike at the Free 6-week check-up are redundant. Please contact your local Evans Cycles store to discuss this further.
